Dr. Emil Kendziorra

‍

Dr. Emil Kendziorra, CEO and co-founder, is German and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Göttingen. He spent several years doing cancer research because he wanted to help push longevity science forward. The slow pace of academic progress frustrated him, so he switched to entrepreneurship. He had already been a member of Alcor in the US for years and saw that Europe needed its own professional cryopreservation provider and that the field itself needed to move faster. After founding and successfully selling two companies, he decided to dedicate the next decades of his life to medical biostasis and cryomedicine. He has said clearly that Tomorrow.bio is his life’s work, he has no intention of ever starting another company. Emil also serves on the board of the European Biostasis Foundation, the non-profit that runs the storage facility. The foundation was created by people with years of experience in biostasis and a strong personal drive to advance the field. Its board is self-amending and, under Swiss law, members never receive any compensation for their role.

Fernando Azevedo Pinheiro

‍

Fernando Azevedo Pinheiro, COO and co-founder, is Brazilian and studied civil and industrial engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He started his career as a planning engineer, then moved to Rocket Internet’s Latin America headquarters in São Paulo, where he held manager and C-level roles (CEO and COO) in their portfolio companies. Later he co-founded two digital businesses of his own. After years in tech, he wanted a project that would have a real, lasting impact on humankind. When he met Emil, the idea of building a service that gives people a choice about how long they live immediately made sense to him. He joined as co-founder and is in it for the long haul.

Emil brings the medical and scientific grounding, while Fernando brings the operational and scaling experience. Together they complement each other perfectly: Emil makes sure every procedure is evidence-based and as advanced as current science allows, and Fernando makes sure the whole company actually runs smoothly, from standby teams and logistics to partnerships and growth into new countries.
